Yes, this is the output from my trusty Canon PowerShot S1 IS, as I was about to photograph some old stuff for posterity before I get rid of it (a controversial idea, I know, but what am I really going to do with a guide to AmigaDOS 2.0 and some really bad paintings from college?).  Unfortunately, the CCD in my camera is probably one that’s affected by some bad Sony CCDs that were making the rounds about the time my camera was manufactured.  Luckily, if that’s really the problem, Canon will fix it for free.  I’ve got my fingers crossed on this one, ’cause I really really like this camera, and don’t want to have to replace it anytime soon.

Or who knows, maybe I’ll keep it the way it is, take a bunch of pictures of famous landmarks, and start a new trend in modern art.
