Tyler Martin just announced the official release of ComicPress 2.5, the popular WordPress theme for Webcomic publishing. There’s been a lot of bug fixes and seriously good upgrades in the theme, and it comes in five flavors to get you started in building your site.  Hosting your Webcomic on your own server gives you a lot of flexibility in site design and presentation, something that’s tough to get with hosted services.

Additionally, my plugin for ComicPress, the ComicPress Manager, has been released.  This WordPress plugin makes managing your ComicPress-hosted Webcomic a snap.  It’s still in its earliest stages, so new features and bugfixes should be expected.  This is also the first WordPress plugin I’ve ever written, so I’m sure I’ll post some of my comments and tips here for building a WordPress plugin.
