Cinelerra DV Rendering Problems? Try JPEG Photo
If you’re rendering a final movie using a DV codec, regardless of container, the renderer can get “stuck†on a frame and rendering will stop dead. You’ll see this in the Compositor—the frame will be “stuck†and the remaining rendering time will appear to go by very very fast. If you’re having that problem, try rendering to an AVI with JPEG Photo as the video codec. The file will be a good bit larger, so slice it up by using the “Create new file at each label†option. You can then use mencoder to join all of the files together, or use ffmpeg to encode them to something else.
